An Advent Message to Our Union Bethel Church Family and Friends
From The Reverend Charles T. Sembly and First Lady Pamela J. Sembly
Advent Facebook Banner 2018
"The days are surely coming, says the Lord, when I will fulfill the promise I made to the house of Israel and the house of Judah.  In those days and at that time I will cause a righteous Branch to spring up for David; and he shall execute justice and righteousness in the land.  In those days Judah will be saved and Jerusalem will live in safety.  And this is the name by which it will be called: The Lord is our righteousness."  (Jeremiah 33:14-16).
Greetings to Our Union Bethel Church Family and Friends:
84805935F053Advent is the season when we prepare ourselves to receive God’s gift of Jesus. It is a time of getting ready for the celebration of Christmas.  As we begin this season of Advent let our lives symbolize the Light of Jesus, for our longing, our desire and our hope in the midst of all the darkness in our lives and the world.  Let us be renewed knowing that Jesus came to save us from sin and death.  We want to experience His coming in our everyday lives to help us live with meaning and purpose.
As we approach the hustle and bustle of each day during the Advent season, let us pause in moments of meditation and prayer to remember that “Jesus is the reason for the season!”  Let us be transformed and shape our thoughts and our actions with one another in Christ, through Christ and for Christ.  In the silence of our prayers let us thank God for sending His Son.  Each day God shows us His love through miracles, through answered prayer and through people like you.  Then let us embrace the message of love and be a force of change by the birth of the Holy Child — the birth that changed the world.  Pray for inspiration to act with actions dictated by and reflected through God’s love.  “And whatever you do, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.”  (Colossians 3:17)
May this season of Advent bring light, hope and peace to you and yours and may it fill your heart and home with love, joy and happiness. In this Holy season of Advent you are continually in our fervent prayers and loving thoughts.  We remain,

In His Service,
The Reverend Charles T. Sembly & First Lady Pamela J. Sembly
